The Effects of Cold Weather

On Saturday, the Fit for Life club had a social at the ice scating rink. My friends and I had a blast but it was a lot cooler than the outside temperature.  I began to realize that my nose was getting quite cold and it wasn’t until my friend pointed out the change in color that I really noticed it.  Why do our noses get red when we are cold?  Are they sore? Or are they running out of blood so that it can go toward the brain instead?
